[Honestly, being summoned was quite the surprise to Bedivere. Being a saber, he knew he was at a disadvantage. After all, there were so many more sabers even just from the Round Table who were much more famous, so surely they would have been summoned over him. In fact, he was sure it had happened countless times before. That one master he had met, the one from Chaldea, they had spoken of singularities and grail wars to span several worlds and timelines. And with so many fine Sabers to choose from, he was sure that he hadn't ever been summoned before. The short time between the 'creation of his legend' and 'now' notwithstanding.
It made him feel a touch inadequate, if he was being truthful. After all, he was a simple knight. The master who had summoned him, he deserved better than someone like him. But if he was the one who was summoned, then he would fulfill his duty to this new master. Nothing would be done in half-steps, never again.
So as his form solidified in the summoning circle, Bedivere offered his new master a warm smile. Once again, his life was sworn to someone else's. Whatever his master wished for, Bedivere would help him achieve it.]
Saber, Bedivere. I am honored to be summoned by you. From now on, I shall be your Servant.
['I am honored to be summoned at all' was the truth, but he didn't speak that.
Then he paused, and he took a survey of the situation. The summoning circle was expertly made, but this man in front of him...well. He didn't look like a mage. He looked like a normal person. Perhaps it was a disguise? Or maybe there was more to this situation than he could see immediately. He would have to wait for his new master to respond in order to find out more.]

[He's still a little spooked about being up in the air in the chaos. He is going to undo the lap bar on the seat so he can get up though. He hasn't changed to his usual battle outfit yet but he needs to be able to see where the action is.
Rider is indeed gone, the last remains of his smirk sparkling away as the Lancer retrieves her spear from where his body had once been. Unfortunately, it's Arturia's magic that draws her attention, and she looks up at the ferris wheel sharply. And Bedivere feels quite seen in that moment.]
Um, er, we should get going-
[Oh, she moves fast. And she's jumping on top of the ticket booth so she can start making her way up to where they are on the ferris wheel.
They're sitting ducks up there, and Bedivere doesn't like it one bit.]

Bad news: Lancer's heading in that exact direction.
Ahh. The perfect circumstances for a suicide joke. He hasn't exposed Bedivere to plenty of those, has he? Hmm, and mentioning that now will probably be bad given his Servant's state.]
Saber. Cut open a door at the back.
Caster. [His eyes briefly flick towards Ango. Survival now, complaints later.] Can you delay her? Then carry Ango out the back.
[If Ango gives the go, she will shoot beams down at Lancer and follow it up with a barrier.
As for himself - Dazai figures he'll have to either talk his way out of this or climb out separately. No thanks to his nullification, there's no way Bedivere can carry him out.]

...Caster can set me down by the controls. The Servant is probably after Servants, not Masters. With both Saber and Caster away from you, her attention will turn elsewhere.
[Meaning Dazai needs to stay put and Ango is telling him that, even though he knows Dazai won't listen. But he's still Hoping.
While all of this is going on, Saber does exactly as Dazai instructs: he cuts a hole in the back and jumps out, rushing out to meet her in a clash of blades before she can harm anyone else in the ferris wheel. She's delayed, but only for the moment.]

[More than that, killing a Master or making off with their Command Seals are both valid ways of taking out an opponent. Those are simply the facts. Since he's not about to let his hand be cut off and Bedivere crying over his death just doesn't sit right with him, his one option is moving out separately. And maybe watch for a sniper.
Anyway, do get a move on, Ango - he tips his head at the newly opened back door. If there's merit in hoping Lancer only goes for Servants, the best time to find out will be very soon.
Caster's keeping an eye out for Bedivere, although she's taking a backward step, reaching out for Ango.]
Master?
[She doesn't like this, leaving someone behind, and there's no magecraft she knows of that won't be cancelled out by him.
...that said.
The grip on her staff tightens.
The crepe stand has a huge umbrella. If I summon that here, maybe he can use it? If a gust of wind I call won't get cancelled out.
He might be able to tell there's a thrum of nerves beneath that thought. There's a chance she might screw up that wind spell - she's not fully mastered it yet.]

[Ango casts one last firm look in Dazai's direction before letting Caster scoop him up and take him down to the ground level. And as he said, he's immediately going over to the controls as soon as he's on the ground. He has no idea what he's doing, but he's going to try.
But as he starts looking over the ferris wheel buttons, Ango also gives Caster some directions.]
You already know of the difficulty we're going to have here. If you can think of a way to safely get him down without your magic being nullified, do it. He's impatient and will cause a ruckus and might get himself killed.
[Ango is less worried about the loss of a Grail War ally, and more worried about the loss of a former friend.
So yes, try the umbrella tactic. It might work. And with how Saber and Lancer are trading blows, the fight might get back to the ferris wheel sooner than later.]

Dazai waves, the cheerful gesture at odds with the sharp look in his eyes. As soon as they're gone, he peeks down the window (oh boy) before sparing Bedivere a glance.
Right. That Lancer still looks quite pissed off, and he scans the area. Is her Master in sight? Not that he can prolong his survey, however, since it won't be good to tax Bedivere, and Dazai just knows the knight will fight better once he knows his Master's safe on the ground. So! Gotta be sneaky while climbing down, and he grasps the rails.
...he should, at the very least, be able to hop down on the roof of the carriage below him, right? Right.
Arturia, meanwhile, nods studiously and raises her staff. This is kinda risky and there's no time to hide the umbrella's movement - Merlin, ironically, isn't the best teacher for illusion magecraft - and the intricate head of her staff glows. The umbrella frees itself from the cart, as expected, and it goes with the sweep of the oversized stick in her hand, sailing towards Dazai.
Yeah, no, he's not expecting that at all! Dazai bites down on a yelp to dodge the oversized umbrella that nearly collides with him. Predictably, the ability supporting its weight dissipates with the touch of his hand, and another look at the control booth reveals Caster looking intently at him with puffed cheeks, miming... floating down? That's what that swaying motion with both her hands clasped on her staff looks like, in between the jumping.
.....
It's not that he doesn't see her intentions. However, he hasn't seen her in action either. Impromptu arrangements like this clash horribly with his habit of calculating outcomes, placing it too close to an expression of trust.
And Bedivere's fight with Lancer continues, assuming she hasn't switched targets.
Okay. Dazai steels himself, pops open the umbrella, and hops.
Caster will bring up the wind. It won't be smooth sailing, exactly, but he'll land on two feet -- should Lancer not go for the easy target.]

And then Dazai jumps.
Ango's heart leaps up into his throat, and he has to force down the urge to call out Dazai's name. What a precarious position to be in, watching a sometimes-suicidal man float down with only the help of an umbrella and some wind magic. He's given up on moving the ferris wheel now, and is instead just waiting for Dazai at the bottom.
The fight isn't going well though, and it's frustrating Bedivere. A Saber should be able to beat a Lancer, and yet she is matching him blow for blow. Why is she this strong against him? He doesn't get it.
At one point, Lancer gets a good hit in on Bedivere, and sends him crashing into the ferris wheel. The wind of Bedivere flying past will jostle Dazai a bit too. And while Dazai might only been ten feet from the ground now, that Lancer is definitely aiming an attack at him. What now, Dazai?]

A spear's reach is long, and this Servant's caliber is... something else. The laurel-like crown circling her head, the elaborate armor covering her arms and legs, the otherworldly shimmer of the thick tip of her weapon...
Bedivere sailing past him makes his heart stop. He has to remind himself to breathe, gaze darting from the knight crashing behind him to the one preparing for a kill.
Inexplicably, a faint smile graces his lips.]
Ah. To be killed by a beautiful woman.
[What a shame. Had he not met Bedivere, he would've tried his luck.
Instead, Dazai trusts the wind lifting the umbrella to keep it upright as he pulls himself up - or the umbrella down - and uses both the force and the change of direction Bedivere's path provided in an attempt to swing like a pendulum. Once the adrenaline's died down, his shoulders and arms will be an aching mess, but that's the last thing on his mind when he launches himself in Bedivere's general direction.
Breaking a leg at this point will be very inconvenient, but it sure beats having to see his knight's crying face.]
no subject
A master AND a smooth-talker. She dislikes this.
Swinging like a pendulum means Dazai will have to swing back the other way though, so he's going to have to hold on for dear life to not slip from the umbrella and go diving straight down to the ground. Regardless, the swinging knocks him off of Caster's course, and leave him floating down towards the metal beams of the ferris wheel. He'll have to time his swings to avoid getting hit by a cross-beam.]
Master!
[Oh hey, Bedivere is up on his feet! And he doesn't like this at all, nope! He'll keep an eye out for Lancer, but he's moving to try and catch Dazai as he gets closer to the ground.]
no subject
This new obstacle course, by the way, reminds him of a platformer game, and there's no way he won't end up with a fracture if he slams into something. That's plenty of incentive, and it takes a delicate balance of tension and clear mental focus to get through and calculate if the umbrella's brim will hit anything.
---- hopefully Bedivere will be prepared for this landing.
(Dazai can't see her from this angle, but Caster's raising her hands. Four rings of golden light, sharp enough to slice, will be heading for Lancer if there's an attempt to go after those two.)
There is no shout of warning when Dazai lets go of the handle: just one last swing after taking his trajectory and Bedivere's running speed into account, and he sails down the remaining distance, ideally into the Servant's arms. Realistically, a body slam is the likely end result. Can't win them all.]
no subject
The reality is that the brim of the umbrella is absolutely going to catch on the ferris wheel, jerking at Dazai just as he lets go of the handle. Which means the trajectory is off, and Bedivere has to correct himself to manage to catch Dazai on his fall. Rather than catching Dazai in his arms, he catches Dazai in his chest, and he is knocked right over. But hey, Dazai landing on top of him means everything is probably alright, right? Soft body to catch the fall, or something.
Meanwhile, Caster's attack hits Lancer, slamming her against the ferris wheel. It destabilizes the contraption and sends it swaying, a threat of toppling over imminent. So Ango is going to grab for Caster to drag her along as he yells out to Dazai.]
Get back! It's going to fall!
[He's not going to flee the area, but rather just pull back enough to be out of harm's way. The crowds have mostly cleared at this point, so loss of life is less of an issue now. But they do need to finish this fight, while they have the upper hand. Especially now that Rider is dead.]
no subject
Still, he can't complain. Dazai's smile might hold the faint traces of a grimace, but Bedivere is a welcome sight, and he's very tempted to lean down for a quick kiss.
Unfortunately, that ferris wheel has other ideas.
Dazai breathes (ow, his side does not like that one bit) and clutches his side, pushing himself up with some difficulty. The least he can do is to not let his own smile drop.]
I'll give you proper thanks later, my valiant hero. Time for us to go.
[If that metal arm weighed any less, Dazai would've pulled Bedivere up. He refrains from doing so or catching his Servant's wrist, aware that in doing so, he'll be a hindrance. Or more of one, at least. His shoulder and sides don't make running easy.]
If we don't make it to the edge in time, think you can slice through the beams?
[At their destination, Caster alternates between apologizing to Ango and fretting over the pair making their escape, gripping her staff so tight that her hands ache.
"I'm sorry," she says, horrified and immensely guilty. The only reason why she isn't on the verge of tears is because breaking down now will make her more useless. "I should've seen that coming and controlled Lancer's landing!"
no subject
[Bedivere will let Dazai run first, but he's not far behind him. He knows Dazai won't go too far without him there, and Bedivere would rather stay close to better defend him anyway. Turning and slicing the ferris wheel apart wouldn't be a problem if it comes to that, but he would rather keep an eye on that Lancer. Where exactly did she go anyway? The dust clouds haven't settled yet, and she has a moment to hide if she's being careful.
Meanwhile, Caster is getting a quick head-pat from Ango. He's not normally one to give out such blatant displays of comfort and affection, but Caster has won Ango over quickly and he feels like a big brother looking out for his little sister.]
Nonsense, you did fine. There will always be unexpected surprises in a fight. Worry less about what has happened, and more about what is yet to come.
[Such sound advice, from a man who is normally tough as nails on his subordinates. Has Ango turned over a new leaf?]
no subject
...hers is an earnestness that makes earning her disappointment a rather painful process.
Not that he can dwell on that point further beyond a few scattered impressions. The ferris wheel's huge, and Dazai's forcing himself to sprint the best he can once he gains a sense of surety in his steps.]
Saber!
[Physics works against them at the last stretch, but he does not slow down just yet, trusting Bedivere to remove that last beam and compartment.
He does not think Lancer will attack until she herself is clear from the falling machinery. In the worst case scenario, she will try an aerial attack: if she can shoot beams with a large blast radius, she might not care to get a clear shot.
Unfortunately, he can't distract himself by looking up. They'll have to trust Ango and Caster to be a second set of eyes if Lancer pushes for a surprise attack, if her Master hasn't ordered her to withdraw.]
no subject
[Fortunately Bedivere doesn't need to burn his Noble Phantasm taking out the ferris wheel. a strong attack with his normal sword is enough to cleave the falling machinery in two, the two halves falling harmlessly to either side of both Bedivere and Dazai.
Ango and Caster will be able to see Lancer, as she pulls herself up and looks ready to attack Bedivere and Dazai again. But she stops suddenly, in a way Caster might recognize: it's the pull of someone who has been given an order by their Master. Lancer looks annoyed for a moment, but then she leaps into the air and hurries off, leaving the two sets of Master and Servant behind to deal with the fallout from the mess.
And fallout there will definitely be. Because that sure is a destroyed ferris wheel and thousands of panicking people. Several of whom have cellphones and have been recording what they can of the fight.]
no subject
Good work you two.
[His gaze drifts to both Bedivere and Arturia --- a little longer on the latter, given how she's narrowed her eyes at the direction Lancer went off, the slight puff of her right cheek quite unintentional.]
She's gone. [There's a strained tremble in her voice. Not from fear, but frustration. Her grip on her staff's knuckle white.] Honestly! Why did she have to go and pick a place with so many people around? Someone could've seriously gotten hurt!
[Now that the danger's passed, she can now blow off a bit of steam this way. Arturia might be a pacifist, but she's not adverse to giving someone a good whack with her staff if they're lacking sense!
Instead of reaching for his phone to dial the Agency, Dazai finally glances at Ango with a raised eyebrow. Not wanting to interrupt is convenient to not have his voice confirm his breathless appearance, but that aside --- sorting out the public's more up Ango's alley, isn't it? But since Ango shouldn't actually be here on official assignment, he supposes there's one other option.]
