Talking to him feels like being talked down to, most of the time. But I don't think he does that intentionally. He's a prophet, so he can see everything, and with that comes more knowledge than the average person would know what to do with.
I suspect he would be a Caster too, but he shouldn't be dead yet, and you can't be a servant until you die.
